Ok, gang...the new year is here. America's Next Hot Movie Star is fully launched and we'll begin our nationwide audition tour this month.

The key to becoming eligible for the next round - The Top 300 - will be collecting votes. It is a constant process. Keep talkin' to your friends and acquaintances. Get your ad posted on your MySpace and Facebook. Be consistent. This is not a sprint, this is a distance run.

And, most importantly....SUBMIT VIDEOS. The more vids you submit and are viewed, the more votes you're likely to collect from our voter base.

I spent Christmas with my family in Tulsa.  And a week prior to leaving I thought, "...why not do an OPEN CALL while I'm there...".   Awesome decision on my part.

We officially, unofficially, opened our talent search this weekend, with auditions in Tucson, Arizona. And, it was just a pleasure to see the turnout - the eager faces - the hunger to chase a dream.

I've been in this business for a long time, and I never tire of, and am always inspired by the look in the eye of someone following a passion.

Pursuing an acting career is not necessarily fun. Mostly, due to the audition process. It blows.

The purpose of the video is just what the title suggests; to introduce yourself to me, to the producers, and to the voters. Understand this; the old adage is true…you only get one opportunity to make a first impression.

You are a contestant in the one of the most exciting contests ever. And, we believe you to be a part of film history. I wanted to share some of my thoughts with you, as a person who's made a living in the acting and directing professions.

These thoughts are generally pointed to the entry-level aspiring actor. Not only are they enlightening if you are aspire to a career in the industry, but are pertinent if you aspire to do well in America's Next Hot Movie Star.

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to share this project with you.

The internet rolls out ginormous possibilites everyday. And this is one of them.
